opening sequences and m-e-s

baby driver
1. positioning
The positioning is used to construct the sub-genre as the camera had to be close enough to the car to see its intense moves but the camera angle was needed as if it was just one long shot of the car driving off there would be no suspense of the chase which may have change the genre of the film.
2.lighting
The lighting was used to construct the sub genre as you needed it to be day in order to show the intense chase in more detail. This helped better than a nigh time clip as you cant see much of what is going on plus you need to focus on everything in the scene to understand it all so natural daylight was much needed.
3.acting
The acting was used to construct the sub genre. This was because how well the actors performed because of the way they acted it really brought the genre to life and within the opening scenes you can clearly tell what the genre is.
4.costume
the outfits the actors were wearing made the clip feel more verisimilitude this is because the costumes they wore fitted the genre as if someone was wearing something different it could alter the genre
5.hair and makeup
The hair and make up helped to create the sub-genre as the actors were quite dull and covered up which would suggest they were about to do something criminal but they looked tidy so no evidence can be seen.
6.expression
The facial expressions in this scene were bland apart from one of them but it was like they were covered up as they weren't showing any emotions this contributes to the genre as something that serious shouldn't really have a different emotion.
7.setting
The setting made the sub-genre more verisimilitude as the way so much detail went into the background/scenery to really squeeze all you can out of the chase. It also helps as a big city with more money makes sense for a crime.
8.props
The props made the sub-genre  clear as guns are associated with crime so if a gun is involved with anything people automatically think it's a crime movie this was easy for them as they could put in a couple of guns so people would understand a bit more of what the movie is about.
9.props
Secondly police cars help construct the sub-genre as people associate the police with crime so having the prop persistent through the opening scene helped form the idea that it belongs to the crime genre.
